I've only had it for about ten days, and I'm in the process of applying for a license. The frequency stepping is indeed a bit tricky, and adjusting the power level requires turning the device off and on again, which can be inconvenient. However, I bought it because it was cheap and durable, and it hasn't disappointed me so far. If you don't have much money, you can buy an external controller, which will make everything easier to use. I am also currently researching this, and I haven't yet made the computer connection cable; I have only made the electrical switch adapter cable.
