To commemorate the special holiday of "May 5th" Chinese Amateur Radio Day, and to promote communication and enhance technical skills among enthusiasts, the Jinan Yellow River Amateur Radio Service Group carefully organized an offline exchange event. The two-day event, held from May 4th to May 5th, 2025 at the Jinan Yellow River Amateur Radio "HAM's Home," successfully brought together numerous radio enthusiasts who collaborated to create a moving melody of technology and humanism.
During the event, the Linqing Amateur Radio Association, Laixi Yuehu Repeater Station, and the HAMCQ community all expressed their congratulations.
The event featured a wide range of activities, with many highlights. Activities included shortwave communication, experience sharing, self-service barbecue, live promotion, EyeBall QSL card exchange, and SSTV reception, providing participants with valuable experiences and unforgettable moments.
On the evening of the 4th and 5th, the Yellow River Repeater Special Event was held as scheduled. Many enthusiasts were present at the radio stations, actively participating and transmitting the joy of the event and their passion for amateur radio via radio waves. A total of 34 participants registered for the event on the 4th, and a total of 60 participants registered on the 5th.
During the event, the Jinan Yellow River Collective Station BD4JN participated and worked with several other stations, including BG4LND, BG4LNW, BI4KVT, BI4IVE, BI4KKF, BI4JTB, BG4IFT, BG4KTP, BG4KBS, and BI4LCX, on single-band shortwave.(SSB)、Same-sized print(CW)Digital(FT8)Communication was conducted during various modes of the "Five Five Festival" commemoration, resulting in over 500 QSOs, achieving excellent results. Notably, many participants were new to shortwave communication.
During the event, we conducted live broadcasts on various new media platforms, sharing snippets of the event with enthusiasts from outside the area. We also provided amateur radio knowledge education online and thank everyone for their silent support during the live streams.
A large number of fried chickens, ducks, and various cuts of beef and lamb were consumed at the event.

The successful completion of this event not only provided a high-quality platform for amateur radio enthusiasts in Jinan to exchange technical knowledge and share their passion, but also revitalized the amateur radio community through innovative approaches. Participants honed their skills through intellectual exchanges and strengthened their understanding through emotional connections, vividly demonstrating the spirit of amateur radio in practice. Looking ahead, Jinan Yellow River Amateur Radio will use this event as a new starting point, continuously focusing on technological innovation, expanding communication channels, and injecting continuous vitality into the development of amateur radio in China.
