I'm the type of person who prefers to stick with traditional styles, so I designed two QSL cards that have a more classic look. Someone on the website zazzle.com has already created templates for QSL cards, and you can use their online tools to modify them to my desired style. You can also use other online tools like Canva to design them; I used Canva to create my previous QSL cards.
The card is based on the event I attended, such as the Sun N Fun airshow in April, so I put photos taken at the airshow on it. Another option for the background is the US visual flight chart, combining aviation and amateur radio.
