The Xianning City Radio and Telecommunications Bureau will be holding the third quarter of 2022 B-class amateur radio operator technical proficiency exam in the near future. The following information is hereby notified:
1. Registration
(1) Registration period
September 1, 2022, from 8:00 AM to September 14, 2022, at 6:00 PM.
If the initial review of your application is unsuccessful, you can submit additional materials by September 16, 2022, at 6:00 PM. Please monitor the status of your application and submit any required materials promptly if your application is not approved.
(2) Registration method
Participants can register using either a mobile app or a computer.
1. Register via mobile app
First, please download and install the ZhiPu app. For Android phones, go to the Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Tencent, Meizu, Alibaba, Anzhi, etc., application markets. For iPhones, go to the App Store and search for "ZhiPu" to download and install. After installation, you need to register.
If you have previously installed the ZhiPu app, please check relevant application stores to ensure that you have the latest version installed.
After registration, click the "Special Entry" at the bottom of the ZhiPu main interface, select "Hobby Radio Enthusiast," and then choose "Exam Registration." In the "Exam Information" section, find the "Exam Notification" to view the notification requirements after the exam. If you want to register, click the blue circular icon labeled "I Want to Register" at the bottom. Then, fill in and provide all required information, including photos, and be sure to pay attention to all instructions to ensure that the information and photos are complete and compliant.
2. Online registration
Using a computer connected to the internet, open your web browser (Chrome, Edge, IE, or 360 (Fast Mode) are all acceptable), and go to the official website of the China Radio Association's Amateur Radio Division: www.crac.org.cn. Select "Exam Information" from the bottom of the homepage, then select "Candidate Services" from the top, and you will be able to log in.
3. Important Notes
(3) Candidates who are taking Class B exams must hold a Class A operating license for at least 6 months.
(4) Whether you register via mobile or computer, you can modify your registration information at any time before submitting the official application. Do not easily select "Delete," as this indicates that you voluntarily give up taking this exam. This exam cannot be retaken after being deleted.
(5) The account and password you use to log in on your phone and computer only need to be registered once, and it will work on both devices.
(4) Photo Specifications: The candidate must submit a color photograph taken within the previous 6 months before submitting their application. The photo must be in JPG format, with the file name being "Candidate's ID number + Candidate's Name.jpg". The photo should be a frontal view, without a hat or other head covering, and include the full head. The height of the head should be between 1/2 and 4/5 of the overall photo height. The face must be clear, with a plain background (white, blue, or red are acceptable). The aspect ratio of the photo should be approximately 4:3. The image resolution must be no less than 400×300 pixels and no more than 4500×3375 pixels.
(5) Once the registration information is formally submitted, please pay close attention to the feedback from the review process. If approved, please download your exam admission ticket. If there are specific comments or requirements during the review, please promptly supplement and revise the registration materials accordingly.
II. Printing of Admission Tickets
After successfully registering, candidates should log in to the registration website and download and print their exam admission tickets themselves.
Three. Examination
(1) Examination method
The exam will be conducted in a closed-book, practical examination format.
(2) Examination arrangements
After successfully registering, please schedule your exam time in person with the relevant management personnel.

(3) Requirements for qualification
The B-level exam lasts for 60 minutes. The test consists of a total of 50 questions, and passing requires answering at least 40 questions correctly (including).

(5) Examination Instructions
1. This exam is only open to candidates from Sanming region. Candidates from other provinces and cities should consult their local radio management agencies.
2. Candidates must strictly adhere to all relevant COVID-19 prevention and control policies, and must present a negative nucleic acid test certificate issued within the previous 48 hours in order to participate in the examination.
3. Candidates must bring their original ID card and admit card, and attend the exam at the examination venue specified on the admit card, according to the agreed-upon time and address.
4. Candidates must arrive 10 minutes before the exam starts and remain in the examination hall for 15 minutes after the exam begins. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of their eligibility for this exam.
IV. Issuance of amateur radio operator certificates
(1) Certificate issuance
Qualified candidate information issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Radio and Communications Administration, after review and certification by the China Association of Radio.
(2) Methods for obtaining certificates
For successful candidates, they can obtain their certificates directly from the relevant radio management authority in their chosen examination location, or they can request them to be mailed to them by contacting the authority via telephone.
V. Other Matters
(1) Reference materials: "Amateur Radio Station Operation Capability Verification Question Bank" (Published by People's Post and Telecommunications Press).
(ii) Individuals taking the exam should not have any pending radio-related offenses.
(iii) During the pandemic, candidates are required to wear masks throughout the examination period and present their health code and body temperature readings at the entrance of the examination hall.
(4) If a candidate engages in cheating or other violations of examination rules, their score for this exam will be invalid, and they will not be allowed to take the exam again within one year.
(5) Exam results are announced immediately after the exam, and confirmed with signatures from both the examinee and the proctor.
(6) Please bring your admission ticket, ID card, pen, and other necessary items, and participate in the verification exam on time. The examination location and time will be as specified on your admission ticket.
