It depends on how much power you're using and for how long. I use a 5Ah battery with my 891, which allows me to transmit on 15 different frequencies at 100W. This is standard practice for exchanging callsigns, equipment, and QTH information. If you're using a more powerful setup, then having a larger battery capacity would definitely be beneficial.
