According to the requirements of the State Council in late 2017, radio management authorities are not allowed to require amateur radio enthusiasts to provide original and copies of their operating licenses when applying for a radio station license, using the data held by the authority itself as the basis. Both physical and electronic versions have the same functionality. All amateur radio enthusiasts need to obtain a new license; however, the specific procedures for obtaining it have not yet been announced.
