The FT891 does not have real-time spectrum analysis, so I would like to know how to connect the FT891 to an SDR for convenient viewing of a dynamic spectrum.
Some of the practices that have been heard about include:
1. Disassemble and attempt to extract a mid-band signal using an SDR receiver. The extracted signal can be connected to receivers such as RSP1, which can then be connected to a computer, or to receivers like the Peacock SDR.
2. I used a signal sharing device to connect the SDR.
3. Using the HDSDR software, set it to the mid-band mode. This allows you to display the actual frequency on your computer and achieve bidirectional synchronization between SDR and your equipment using the Omni rig.
4. I heard there was also a way to access it through a virtual COM port, with N1MM being used to connect. The specific method is unknown.
I am primarily looking for a way to connect the FT891 to SDRs without requiring disassembly. It seems that methods 3 and 4 do not require disassembly. I would also like to know the specific steps involved in method 3. Additionally, I would like to ask if there are any wireless Bluetooth devices that can be connected to the FT891, and whether they might be helpful.
We welcome everyone to add various methods and share specific practices.
