9700其实不是理想设备，忘记是硬件还是软件问题，大功率长时间发射时会因为过热产生频偏，想解决这个问题还得自己动手拆机改造，有点麻烦的

@"BG5VNH"#p56377 硬件设计问题，风扇对着晶振直吹造成的，难绷倒是有一种方案不用拆机，买个外接GPSDO接上ref in，再卡个良性bug让内部晶振持续锁定在ref in就行但还是910H好啊，原厂CR-293恒温晶振连射30轮Q65不动如山（当然改装恒温晶振也得拆机就是，但是不难）

If you're not adding a separate VFO and amplifier, the standard for choosing an EME machine should be 【the largest possible power in the 144/432 MHz band】and 【good receiving performance】. The former excludes small QRP machines like the FT-818 and IC-705, while the latter excludes UV band shortwave radios like the FT-857 and IC-7000, which are more of a waste of time. Since EME operations typically don't prioritize speed and are mostly done through software, the requirements for machine control and spectrum performance are relatively low. As for the requirements regarding the shortwave band, the 1.2 GHz band, and portability... it all depends on how you use the machine.

The 9700 is not an ideal device. It's important to remember whether the issue is hardware or software related. When operating at high power for extended periods, it can overheat and cause frequency deviation. To resolve this problem, you would need to disassemble and modify the device yourself, which can be a bit complicated.

BG5VNH Hardware design issue: Fan blowing directly at the crystal oscillator causes problems that are difficult to resolve.
However, there's a solution that doesn't require disassembling the device. You can purchase an external GPSDO and connect it to the ref in, then introduce a "good" bug internally to keep the internal crystal oscillator locked onto the ref in.
However, the 910H is still better. The original CR-293 temperature-controlled crystal oscillator fired 30 rounds of Q65 without any movement (Of course, replacing the temperature-controlled crystal oscillator also requires disassembling the device, but it's not difficult).
