Announcement from the Hainan Province Department of Industry and Information Technology Regarding the Organization of the 2023 Third Session of Amateur Radio Station Operation Technical Capability Examination.
In accordance with the "Administrative Measures for Amateur Radio Stations" (No. 22 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) and related documents issued by the China Association of Radio, Hainan Province's Department of Industry and Information Technology will hold a Class A amateur radio operation technical competency examination in Haikou City in September 2023. The following details regarding this exam are hereby notified:
I. Proposed exam date
September 21, 2023.
II. Examination Location
Provincial Radio and Telecommunications Supervision Bureau, No. 10 Xingdan Road, Guoxing Avenue, Haikou City, Hainan Province.
III. Examination Format
Closed-book exam (exam conducted on a computer).
IV. Scope of Examination Questions
Amateur Radio Operator Certificate Exam Question Bank (compiled by the Amateur Radio Working Committee of the China Association of Wireless Telegraphy)
V. Enrollment Requirements
(1) Registration period: From the date of announcement to September 14, 2023.
(ii) Registration Method: Submit your personal information registration form and photo of your identification documents (including color photos, both sides of the second-generation ID card) in electronic document format via email.pltzk@hainan.gov.cn(Please refer to the attachments for relevant requirements. If you do not receive a reply email within 5 days of sending, please call to confirm).
(3) Photo Requirements for Registration: Candidates must submit a passport-style photo taken within the past 6 months, which must meet the following requirements: front view, no headwear, complete head, with a head height between 1/2 and 4/5 of the overall photo height, clear facial features, and a plain background (white, blue, or red are acceptable). Please adjust the photo to 480*640 pixels in JPG format.
Six. Other
Once a participant has been approved by my department, they must submit their application within 3 business days after the registration deadline, via my department's website (http://iitb.hainan.gov.cn/) Publish the list of candidates who will be taking the exam.

IV. Requirements for personal information documents of applicants.
(1) Personal profile file name: The first 18 characters must match the ID document number, and the remaining characters can be anything, but no Windows-reserved filename characters are allowed.
(ii) Photo file name and format
1. All photo image formats and extensions must be ".jpg".
2. Please ensure that your passport photo meets the requirements of 480x640 pixels and is not a cropped or altered version. The file name should be: [ID document number]_Name.jpg.
