LoseHu The cost of slip rings can indeed be quite high. The YL3040 typically comes with a control panel, and it can be controlled using RS485.
I am using the YL3040, which has unlimited rotation. The mount includes a device box and an antenna. The device box moves with the mount, so there is no need to worry about tangled wires. The UVK5 and Raspberry Pi are located in the device box. The Raspberry Pi forwards the remote control frequency commands to the UVK5. The audio from the UVK5 is also forwarded to a phone or computer via the Raspberry Pi.
The firmware for UVK5 uses:quansheng-dock-fwRadio control commands are transmitted via
Self-written software ->hamlib->QuanShengDock->Raspberry Pi ->UVK5
The command forwarding cycle is quite long. I hope that someone can add control commands to the losehu firmware to enable UVK5 frequency control. Ideally, if it could also emulate FT-991 or other radio commands, then common satellite tracking software would be able to control the UVK5.
Looking forward to your reply.
