Furthermore, when using a direwolf to connect to the handheld radio and perform igating, it is best to use an audio cable with PTT control (do not use vox because it may cause the transmission to end prematurely while the transmitter remains active, which can occupy the frequency). Since the Raspberry Pi does not have audio input ports, you will also need a USB sound card.
