Instead of submitting a separate application for each piece of equipment that needs to be certified, consolidate all the necessary information and submit it in a single application.
If the power exceeds 15W, please enter 14W. The relevant personnel will understand your intention and make the necessary correction. (Even if the radio is approved for 200W, you should still enter 14W, as this represents the actual operating power, not the maximum power specified on the approval certificate.)
Select "Carry or Handheld" (Yes, that's right! It's a handheld base station).😂)。
Set the range to "Within Province"
When setting the region, enter "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region" (enter the province where you are applying if that's where you are, or try applying nationally. To apply nationally, you need to provide sufficient reasons to convince relevant personnel. Currently, applications for national status require a strong justification, and those lacking adequate reasons are no longer accepted. As it approaches the 55th festival, consider purchasing tickets or train tickets from other provinces that can be returned. Use the "necessity" explanation to change the license to national status. In short, if you can effectively use social engineering techniques, you can succeed.😋)
Enter the station name as "XX Shortwave Amateur Radio Station" (where XX is the applicant's real name; for this application, include both handheld and shortwave radios, not ultra-shortwave radios).
Enter the earliest date on which the station was first authorized to operate, i.e., the date on which the initial license granting the callsign was obtained.
For the duration of application, enter "from today's date to 5 years later" (Note: for example, from March 10, 2025 to March 9, 2030, but not including March 10, 2030).
Please fill in the frequency band on the certificate, including 50 MHz (I filled in 25W), and any secondary business bands marked with an asterisk, such as 10 MHz. I heard that these require a long time to be approved, and there may also be phone inquiries. However, I did not fill this in.
Antenna gain: You can enter 2 dBi or 3 dBi, or even 0 dBi. It doesn't matter as long as it's not too high.
The polarization mode selected is "linear vertical polarization".
The handheld radio should occupy a bandwidth of 16 kHz, while the shortwave radio should occupy a bandwidth of 3 kHz. It is mandatory to use either 3 kHz or 0 kHz.
Enter the serial number that appears on the device's nameplate after "SN".
In other sections, simply state something like "I understand the new B-class regulations" to avoid phone inquiries or providing additional materials. For example, if you are asked to provide a "commitment letter," this will delay the application process, as shown in the example.
