As everyone knows, the Bluetooth function of the Sennheiser 8800 can only be used for writing frequencies to a mobile phone. If you want to write frequencies on a computer, you need to use a frequency writer cable. However, if you don't have a frequency writer cable, it is very frustrating to constantly operate on a small mobile phone screen to write multiple channels at once. But good-quality frequency writer cables cost around 30-40 yuan, and seeing an empty wallet, I really can't bring myself to buy one. So, I thought: Is there any way to use the computer with the Sennheiser 8800's Bluetooth function without using a frequency writer cable? If I could use the Sennheiser 8800's Bluetooth function on my computer, that would be great. I then wondered: Could the protocol used for 8800 Bluetooth frequency writing be the same as the protocol used for the frequency writer cable? Surely, manufacturers wouldn't develop different protocols for different frequency writing methods, right?
Therefore, I created a small tool to bridge the gap between software-defined radio (SDR) and traditional software, and my hypothesis was confirmed: the protocols used by SDR software can communicate normally with handheld radios over Bluetooth. Of course, it's also possible that the 8800's Bluetooth supports both protocols simultaneously, but that's not important; what's important is that we can now perform software-defined radio operations on our PCs!

After multiple revisions and corrections, the software is now largely functional, but it is still under continuous testing and refinement. Some features may still be unstable. I am sharing this with everyone so that we can learn and discuss together! I also hope that if anyone finds any errors, they will point them out.
The software relies on virtual ports. In addition to the software itself, you will also need to download software related to virtual ports. For detailed instructions, you can also watch my video:Sennheiser 8800 Bluetooth computer microphoneI hope this will be helpful for everyone!

If you find that it's difficult to delete many empty channels when using official software to generate reports, or to perform insertion operations between two channels, I have another simple tool that you can try:shx8800-config-editor
