If your main goal is to overcome the boredom of transitioning from A-band, I would advise against buying BOX6. It might leave you feeling frustrated. The most active period for 6 meters (7-meter band) is typically between May and July, and even then, most activity will likely be concentrated in East Asia and Southeast Asia. To maximize your chances, invest in a good antenna before opening your station, and be patient. Don't rely on propagation to do all the work; you need to actively participate. Currently, having at least one QSO per week is already a good achievement, although it seems that the situation in 7-meter band is not as favorable.
However, if you decide to focus on 6 meters, congratulations – you'll be entering a world very different from that of shortwave. 2025 will also be a peak year for solar activity, which will provide more opportunities for 6-meter propagation.
