I recently acquired a relatively obscure amateur radio, the WENDEN WAT-300. The official website claims compatibility with ICOM radios, but that's all the information available. Upon receiving and disassembling the unit, I found that it has 5 connection terminals for its control lines, corresponding to TT KEY SRT 13.6V GND. The radio's control cable connects to these 4 terminals (TT SRT 13.6V GND). Furthermore, there is a 6-pin external interface (with 2 pins unused). Does this mean that simply switching between TT/KEY will enable compatibility with both the WENDEN and ICOM radios?
