BI1NIZ I was very enthusiastic about it for a while. I compiled a Linux kernel that supports AX.25, along with configurations for Direwolf, Linbpq, and Pat, all based on a $30 set-top box. After setting everything up, I used the FT-8900R to conduct tests. The biggest problem was that no one else was using it, so I got my B license and started operating on shortwave. I used a G90S transceiver for some time, and the antenna was a homemade folded dipole made from stainless steel clothesline, approximately 10 meters long. It connected to a 1:6 balun using a 300Ω TV coax cable, achieving perfect resonance at 14MHz. The furthest I managed to communicate with was in the United States, Australia, and Fiji. However, due to moving and other commitments, I haven't been able to set up an antenna yet.
