续航不是问题国内HAM打孔电池解你忧愁~

除此之外还有关机也掉电、用多之后会烧屏（即屏幕上留下显示内容印记）以及有些功能说明书没写的问题。不过其实用着还是挺不错的，可以上。

烧屏确实存在，电池可以多配几块即可。其他没有问题，毕竟小手台，不会24小时开机

主要看你预算和需求，预算足可以上，他的功能、可靠性和可玩性毋庸置疑。没有十全十美的机器！

电池在海鲜市场上找了c口的电池，比原装的电池续航更长，但是和机身之间有很大的缝隙，观感不是很舒服；整体操作逻辑不直观，机器没中文，设置步进或者亚音要熟悉一阵子才行；做工见仁见智，我看着是没有icom家的机器好；看下本地中继d-star，wiresx，46001哪个玩的多，至少线下碰头有问题好解决；价位不好说，觉得5dr定价很尴尬，准备换D75了

操作逻辑不友好、电池耗电很快，短时间通联发热大；GPS芯片体积大与部分天线基座位置冲突，以及机器信道名输入汉字必须通过日文输入法、固件升级反人类，不过机器总体还是不错的，功能多性能稳定~之前我遇到的烧屏问题，进一步发现可能是可逆的（一段时间不用以后残影消退）

小毛病真是不少，电池不耐用可以换国产加厚。从功能上讲应该是比较全的U/V手台了吧，其他进口牌子都没有模拟APRS了，接收性能也优秀。买的话一定国行，三年保修坏了的话直接翻修换件。

Yes, screen burn-in does exist, but you can easily add extra batteries. Everything else is fine; after all, it's a small desktop device and won't be used continuously.

I found a C-type battery at the seafood market, which lasted longer than the original battery, but there was a large gap between the battery and the body, making it look uncomfortable.
The overall operation logic is not intuitive; the machine does not have a Chinese interface, and it takes some time to familiarize yourself with adjusting settings or using sub-audio functions.
The quality varies depending on personal preference; I find that machines from [ICM] are better.
Check which local repeater, d-star, or wiresx network is most popular, as this will make it easier to troubleshoot any offline issues.
The price isn't ideal; I find the $5dr pricing to be awkward, so I'm planning to switch to the D75.

The operating logic is not user-friendly, the battery drains quickly, and it generates a lot of heat during short periods of connectivity; the GPS chip's large size conflicts with the position of some antenna bases, and inputting Chinese characters in the device's channel name requires using the Japanese input method. There are quite a few minor issues, and the battery life could be better; you can replace it with a domestic one that's thicker. Functionally, it seems to be a pretty comprehensive U/V handheld radio, and other imported brands don't offer APRS simulation. The receiving performance is also excellent. If you buy it, definitely get the Chinese version, and if it breaks within three years, you can have it repaired and replaced directly.

I've used 3DR, and I recommend buying ICOM for communication. For chatting, I suggest Motorola.

I also remember one detail: the FT5DR does not support manual switching between FM/AM/WFM; these three modes are defined by frequency bands, and 88₁₀₇0.9 MHz is WFM (Wide-band FM). The APRS decoding efficiency with a 5 dB dynamic range is relatively poor.

BA4RAB The Icom radio is the ID-52. To promote the underutilized D-PRS, Icom's D-Star models do not have APRS at all. Furthermore, the overall D-Star mode is inferior to System Fusion in terms of distance, audio quality, and functionality. This is largely due to the excellent foundation provided by Motorola's P25 system, as well as the unique relationship between Icom and Motorola.

Specifically, when comparing the 52PLUS and 5D, the following features are missing: APRS beacons, APRS text messages, shortwave AM reception, digital text messages, and digital group communication. Additionally, the speaker power is lower, and setting up D-Star network connectivity is more complex; however, the 5D includes a spectrum analyzer, Type-C direct connection, and can connect directly without needing a hotspot.

If you don't need a license, the D75 is the best choice. It eliminates most of the drawbacks on both sides and adds features like shortwave single-band operation, HF output to SDR software, and external control. Its main drawback is that it cannot be used for licensed operation. As for the price, that's where I have a problem.
