Two years ago, I installed a brand new V750 antenna. The massive support and stabilization system made it feel incredibly difficult to work with; at least three people were needed just to get the job done each time. Since I had chosen a 7.25-meter aluminum extension pole, the antenna could rotate significantly in windy conditions. Although Mr. Liu (BG1HGS), a very experienced person in the 1st zone, helped me make it extremely sturdy and prevent any collapse, I still decided to end this stressful way of life.
After consulting with other experts and considering my own circumstances, I chose to maintain a simpler GP antenna. The initial GP antenna I selected was not satisfactory, and I also heard complaints about it having excessive noise and being unable to hear anything. This frustrated me greatly, as the reputation of GP antennas is already poor. Later, renowned amateur radio expert BH1RQN first conducted practical experiments, leading me to make a bold attempt. We determined that there were no efficiency issues with the GP antenna; the problems we encountered were due to design flaws in the first type of antenna we used.
Therefore, we decided to purchase the almost top-of-the-line GP antenna, specifically the AV680, a US-made multi-band antenna covering 9 bands. This was our final attempt with GP antennas. After this, we quickly began preparing for procurement, but we soon learned that both the 9-band AV680 and the 8-band AV640 had domestic alternatives. After thorough research, we decided to adopt a domestically produced improved model. I have always referred to the G9 as an improved version of the AV680, rather than a clone, because when domestic experts cloned this antenna, they optimized both the materials and design, making the clone superior to the original.

First, let's discuss the basic technical parameters. The antenna is approximately 9 meters high, and after installation, it will be about 10 meters. The nine bands (80m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, 6m) will not be affected by the attenuation of multiple coils or attenuators. Specifically, the 80m, 40m, 30m, and 20m bands require coils in the mast section, while the 15m band primarily uses the main beam for optimal results. The remaining bands are individual additional oscillators.

The coil section (the "wand" part) shows the shorting jumpers between each coil, which allows the low-frequency signal to pass directly through the jumper instead of through other coil sections. This significantly reduces attenuation and unwanted effects.

Setting up the antenna is simple and can be done by two people, although it's also possible for one person to do it. However, it's not recommended. I recommend using an antenna support with a rotating axis that can be directly attached to the base. With this setup, only one person needs to push the antenna up, while the other person secures it. This is much simpler than having three or five people involved as required for the V750.

The overall design is very beautiful and understated. The antenna has a high efficiency, and its performance in chasing is comparable to that of traditional towers. Below is my map for your reference.
