If there are any issues that require you to provide additional materials, they will send you a text message to let you know and instruct you on how to correct them and resubmit. Based on feedback from other applicants, it's normal for the process to take about 6 months. However, some people have reported that using fixed shortwave stations with specific coordinates can be faster than submitting applications within a particular province or nationwide.

Typically, it takes about a week to become "under review," then one to two months for "coordination," followed by a long wait while the provincial radio monitoring station or relevant department contacts you to test. Once the testing is complete and the results are returned to MIIT, it may take some time before the approval status changes to "approved." After that, it can take another month or so for the license and shipping documents to be sent from Beijing via SF Express.
