When calibrating, do not connect any cables to the short circuit load isolation port (s11). Instead, perform the calibration directly at the s11 port. After calibration, the calibration face will be at the s11 end. If you are not connecting the antenna directly, you will also need to perform a port extension, which is called "electrical delay" in NanoVNA. This setting can usually be found in either the calibration menu or the display-scale menu, and may not be explicitly mentioned in the manual. You will need to find it within the device itself. Then, connect the necessary cables between the antenna and the radio, and set the electrical delay. Extend the calibration face to the port where you are connecting the antenna. The value needs to be gradually tested, starting from 20ns until the phase line is horizontal.
