I need help. How do I deal with the "big boss" in the receiving and dispatch room?

BG5JFI

BH6RPI

BG5JFI High school? University?
It doesn't matter, just ignore it. I really don't want to have to check my entire email inbox or keep track of all the cards.

BI9BUM

The school's mailroom handles a lot of postal items, and they often take advantage of young girls by making hurtful remarks.
However, since your letters always go through him, it's best not to have any direct conflict with him. Be careful that he hides your postcards so you can't get them back.
Recommended: Ignore
If you really can't stand it, then criticize him about how he's still working in the mailroom despite having so much money.

BG5JFI

YofoaStudio Yeah, that's true... I'll graduate in about six months.

UmenShiro

Unfortunately, the school can only rely on these… well, let's just say "unique" students.

BG5JFI

UmenShiro Those retired professors were brought back to the school... Honestly, they had a lot of free time. They spent their days trading stocks and playing table tennis. Sigh.

Perhaps as you get older, you want to demonstrate your experience and knowledge by talking about things you haven't encountered before. If that's the case, it's best to simply ignore them.
What's wrong with this person?
I used to go to the mailroom frequently when I was in school, and I knew the older lady there very well.
She would often flip through letters or postcards in the frame on her desk.
If there's a more suitable address you can use instead, please update it as well.
For example, things like a "Vegetable Station" located next to our school.
Alternatively, I could pick up the package from the post office near my school (I don't remember the exact name of the service, but I recall that it involves picking up a package at the post office and paying a fee).

BG5JFI

YofoaStudio That particular service is called "存局候领," but it seems that the post offices in Nanchang no longer offer this service. When I asked several different post offices, they all said they didn't have it. The postal workers at our school's post office have to go to the receiving and dispatch room to pick up and deliver these letters...

Then, the postal sorting department on my side is really bad... The domestic and international letters/registered mail/postcards in the surrounding residential areas are often incorrectly sorted (I don't know whether it's due to negligence or intentional action) and sent to the university's receiving room. This is especially serious for international mail. I don't know how many people in the surrounding communities have lost their mail because of problems with the postal sorting department...

The intention is simply to demonstrate one's superiority through lecturing, while appearing to be correct in everything. Instead, it would be better to answer every question correctly and then quickly move on to doing one's own work, minimizing the impact on one's mood.

BG5JFI

BG6QED That's true... but I'm starting to feel a bit hesitant about going to the mail room because of how often he talks. It's giving me some PTSD symptoms.😥

BH6RPI Planning to clean out my inbox.

BH6RPI

BG5JFI I've only experienced one instance of mis-sorting so far, which was good. The main issue I have is that they frequently don't stamp the delivery receipts ( ).

BH6RPI

BG5JFI The mailbox is great; once I get used to it, we develop a good system where I drop off mail in the afternoon and pick it up at night.
Even if the address wasn't perfectly precise, it still managed to fit in.

BG8IXZ

It's easier to just keep my home address than to send it to the school, sometimes I don't feel like dealing with all those people.

BG5LU

We recommend using the mailbox service provided by the HamCQ card working group.
The original poster will graduate in six months, and any letters sent to the school after that will likely be lost.
If the original poster uses satellite communication, then obtaining a QSL card from some foreign stations or those with unclear procedures may take more than 2 years.
The cards I received this year, including one from 2011, and some QSOs from 2011, are mostly from 2020-2022.
I received a QSL card from someone in approximately 2020, which was actually a QSO from 2013. The person sent the card to me without any prior contact.
At a minimum, this station's mailbox is always available. This ensures that you can still receive QSL cards even if you change cities for work or living, which also protects your personal privacy, especially since the original poster mentioned that they are a female.

I suddenly realized that replying to this post feels a bit strange, and I just checked QRZ – my daughter and you are in the same school and grade…

BG5JFI

BG9CHE

Use the Hamcq card group's email address; send it to your home regularly.

Dealing with such people is truly unpleasant.

BI7KGD

Let's use QSL cards. It's convenient to collect them regularly and then change my address.

BG2ELG

My grandfather was like that too. It was impossible to change him, and since he was about to graduate, he avoided any direct confrontation. Whatever I said, he would just nod and say "yes."

BG4IJK

Ignore him.
I ask you, and you just nod and say "yes, yes, yes, yes"
If he insists that you make a statement, don't worry. If I hadn't done anything illegal, the National Security Bureau would have already come and arrested me.

BH4GQD

It's clear that he has a lot of free time and wants to be involved in everything.
The secretaries in our school's mailroom are very helpful. They always call me when there's a letter, and they are also very friendly.

BG5JFI
