First, let me explain my usage method:
1. If you take the 705 outdoors and connect it to a Wi-Fi hotspot, after obtaining an IP address, use FT8CN to connect.
2. When playing, use a PC and connect via traditional USB cable, or use an IC remote software to create a virtual port.
3. Using FT8CN for remote operation at home: I used domain name resolution + public IP address + port mapping to connect, and then I can log in using the domain name on my phone for remote FT8CN operation.
4、The ft8cn software has been modified to add LotW communication record synchronization and domain name resolution functionality. This allows for timely retrieval of LotW confirmation status and communication records, as well as domain name resolution without having to manually check the home public IP address each time.
Currently, very few people are using portable antennas in winter. The most common approach now is to use a traditional remote PC with DX10 for passive FT8 operation. While this method doesn't offer the same energy savings as before, it does allow for easy logging uploads.
