If it's a 2-meter band antenna, a finished 5- or 10-element Yagi antenna would have a gain of approximately 9 dB. A parabolic reflector would also need to be designed for at least 15 dB. This calculation results in a diameter of 5.3 meters. This doesn't take into account the antenna efficiency, which is not 100%. Therefore, the size needs to be larger. I feel that two or four-element arrays are more resistant to wind and damage.🤣(By the way, this formula was found online; I'm not sure if it's correct.
