Overview
The "Sky Park Sign" event encourages amateur radio operators and clubs to visit qualifying parks and connect with other amateur radio operators. The event recognizes high-performing activators and hunters in various categories through a plaque, based on their activity during the event.
Purpose
The goal of the "Airpark Sign-up" activity is to connect with as many amateur radio operators as possible, such as those using the Airpark Hunter and/or Airpark Activator frequencies.
Qualification
The "Sky Park Sign" event is open to all amateur radio operators who have obtained the necessary permits. Only registered users of POTA.app are eligible to receive the sign.
"Park Table" refers to amateur radio operators who are licensed and operate within a park that is listed on the designated park list in the air. They also communicate with other licensed amateur radio operators.
"Hunter" refers to a licensed radio operator who communicates with the activator for parks listed on the designated park list. The term "chaser" is sometimes used as a synonym.
"The club" must have its own account on POTA.app. During the "Airpark Signboard" event, the club must have at least 3 different amateur radio operators who are members of the club to qualify.
Date
The "Sky Park" event, lasting for 48 hours, began at 0:00 on June 3, 2023, and continued until 23:59 on June 4, 2023.
Frequency band and mode
Allowed any amateur radio band, except for the WARC bands of 60M, 30M, 17M, and 12M. Allowed any mode. (For more information, please see the Airpark Guide.)
Scoring
A standard air park contact can be awarded one （1） point in each applicable award category.
Contacts within multiple reference parks ("N-fer" parks) will be counted as one contact and one park. The "Sky Park Award" activity has no limit on the number of contacts.
Activity log
Activity logs must be submitted by June 18, 2023, at 11:59 PM. The logs must be submitted in accordance with the "Sky Park" standard log submission guidelines.
The hunter does not submit logs to the Sky Park.
Club logs must be submitted by June 18, 2023, at 23:59 UTC. Club logs must be submitted under the appropriate club account, following standard ADIF conventions, where each contact must be recorded in the log with both the station (club) and the operator (person making the contact).
Medal
Participants in the "Sky Park Award" event can receive high-quality awards. The awards are made of black piano lacquer wood with a laser-etched black aluminum plate.
Controversy
Starting with the results published on the Parks on the Air website, there was a one-week period to raise objections. Any disputes must follow the standard procedure for reporting violations of the rules.
