I previously browsed the SWARL website while applying for a recognition ID. I saw some awards listed there, so after meeting the requirements, I tried to apply. The application date was October 15, 2024. That day, I received an email from the website administrator confirming that my application had been received and was pending review. On November 10, 2024, I also received an electronic version of the award via email.
Below, I will briefly introduce several awards, which are a total of six and are listed as follows (My English proficiency is limited, so I am using the translation provided by the browser. This may not be entirely accurate; please refer to the official website for details):
I. The Grand Prize
You must listen to and confirm at least five different amateur radio bands, including QSOs (communications) covering North America, South America, Oceania, Europe, Asia, and Africa. You must also have at least one QSO with a station in at least one of these continents from any of the five bands.
II. ITU Regional Listening Award
Listen to and confirm five QSOs (communications) across five amateur radio bands within a specific ITU region.
(Personally, I believe this category is the easiest to achieve, and that's why I'm applying for this award.)
III. Unique Prefix Award
Listen to and verify the prefixes: 50, 100, 150, 200, 250. The prefix is the first part of the call sign, which defines the location area of the operating station; it typically consists of the first three characters of the call sign.
IV. DXCC Award
Listen to and confirm 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 DXCC entities.
V. IOTA Award
Listen to and verify QSOs for 10, 25, 50, 100, and 150 IOTA registered entities.
Six. Meden Blackwood Positioning Award
Listen to and verify the CQ callsign for the Meeden Blackheath grid location system (first four characters) at positions 25, 50, 100, 150, and 200.
Application method: Create an Excel spreadsheet with all relevant information, along with supporting documents (I am using EQSL; I don't know if other methods are effective), and send it to the email address. awards@swarl.orgThe certificates were distributed via email in JPEG format, and records could be accessed through an online form on the website (both the award and identification number were recorded in Google Docs, requiring specific methods to access).
