I also have some used older HP monitors, and with an SDR receiver, I can see that there is interference on the 430-440 MHz band all over the place. However, since the range isn't very large, you can just move a bit further away.
Furthermore, I tried gradually approaching the device while it was in transmit mode using a handheld radio. At certain frequencies, I observed numerous random horizontal and vertical lines appearing on the screen. If I got even closer, the screen would go black, and I could hear the internal power turning off. This suggests that there is a protective function in place.
After stopping transmission, the display will automatically turn on, and the screen will return to normal operation.
In contrast, the Apple screen did not exhibit any noise on the amateur frequency band and was not affected by interference from active handheld radios. Of course, these two devices are in a different price range.
However, it is not recommended to test with your own monitor.
