有计划换一台打印机，在考虑有没有必要换到彩色喷墨打印机来打印QSL卡片。（不过其实卡片本身一直都还处于草稿状态🙃）不过粗略看了一下，家用打印机有两个方面的限制，可能会导致打印出的卡片效果比较差。一个是纸张的限制，家用打印机进不了比较厚的纸。标准明信片似乎是200-300克，但是家用打印机好像都在100克左右。另一个是墨水的限制，相较于专业的颜料墨水而言，家用打印机的颜色不够准确，而且也比较容易褪色。因此想问问有没有踩过坑的来提一提看法。

打印机如果彩色你长期不打印就堵了用的不如浪费的多最便宜的我见过77元500张基本够你小半年的量如果你玩了2年觉得自己能坚持下去且你觉得自己打印比较好玩了再去买打印机打印如果你能坚持下去卡便宜邮费贵最低1.2 一个月发 100张就是 120元所以你自己算算

家用打印机印刷精度，墨水量控制都不精准，像我的卡面，大面积棕黄色，如果用家用打印机印刷，都是深色部分直接废掉，晕墨，色准也偏老远了，远不如别人印刷厂的质量，按照平板胶印配置文件转换生成PDF/X文件丢过去，印出来几乎没有色差[upl-image-preview url=https://storage.hamcq.cn/2024-11-09/1731143747-559035-2024-11-09-171529.png]

我的心路历程：自行彩打（试打后直接放弃）印刷厂印彩色卡、手写（在QSO数逐渐增多后，手写跟不上速度，放弃）印刷厂印彩色卡，机打不干胶标签（现在大部分还是这么处理，每次卡片局几百张卡也挺累的，而且成本也比较高，渐渐不想干了）印刷厂印单色或彩色卡，针式打印机打信息（下一步的方向）

Recommendations or warnings regarding printers for printing QSL cards?

However, a quick look reveals that home printers have two limitations that could result in poor-quality printed cards.

One limitation is the paper thickness. Home printers cannot handle very thick paper. Standard postcards are typically around 200-300 grams, but home printers usually use paper that weighs around 100 grams.
Another limitation is the ink itself. Compared to professional-grade inks, those used in home printers are less accurate and more prone to fading.

Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this and could share their insights.

BloodBlade 曾从事印刷行业的路过，建议，如果你是打印200克以上的纸张或者明信片的话，不建议使用家用喷墨打印机，如果是普通相纸，可以看下制造商的使用说明，且不建议使用家用立式进纸喷墨机，尽可能用平推进纸的喷墨机或标注可打明信片的激光彩色机，另外如果是喷墨打印明信片的话建议最好还是做个覆膜封层防水，因为家用打印机都是水溶性墨水

Printer: If you don't use it regularly, especially a color printer, it will likely get clogged over time. It's better to waste ink than to have a useless, clogged printer.
The cheapest I've seen is 77 yuan for 500 pieces, which should be enough for about half a year.
If you feel like you've been using a printer for two years and that it's something you enjoy, then go ahead and buy one.
If you can persevere
The postage for cheap cards is expensive. The minimum cost is 1.2 yuan per card, and if you send 100 cards in a month, it will cost 120 yuan. So calculate yourself.

As for the concern about maintaining relevance, the communication industry's technological evolution is relatively slow compared to fields like computers, which constantly change, or musical instruments, where lack of practice leads to deterioration. It doesn't matter whether you maintain it or not; if you have free time, just do it.

The printing accuracy and ink level control of my home printer are not precise. For example, the large area of brown-yellow on my card is unusable if printed with a home printer; it results in dark areas being discarded, smudging, and poor color accuracy, which is far inferior to that of professional printing shops. I converted the PDF/X file according to the flatbed offset configuration and sent it for printing, and the resulting print has almost no color difference.

My personal journey:

The printing factory printed colored cards. Initially, handwritten cards were produced (but this was abandoned as handwriting could not keep up with the increasing number of QSOs).
The printing factory prints colored cards, and uses typewritten labels instead of vinyl (currently, most still do this. Printing a few hundred cards per batch is quite tiring, and the cost is also relatively high, so I'm gradually giving up on using vinyl).
The printing plant prints monochrome or color cards, and the pin printer prints information (for the next step's direction).

Unless you have professional equipment and paper, or if you don't have high requirements for card quality, do not attempt to make them yourself.
When I first made my QSL card, I printed it on white paper and submitted it for review. After taking a look, I immediately threw it away.
It's understandable that professional machines are expensive; there must be a reason for it.

If you don't mind the effort, the best combination I've found is: Canon printer + Fantac 210G etching paper. However, this paper is a bit stiff and thin, making it difficult to feed properly. If you buy A4 size instead of 6R, it will be much better. Print first and then cut.

I tried using L4266, but it only works with Dutch paper and produces heavily skewed images. Regular photo paper doesn't skew the image, but you can't print on the back. I also bought double-sided photo paper, but haven't tried it yet.
