I recently passed the B-class exam and am planning to set up a shortwave radio. Since it's a new B-class, I purchased an X6200 with a power output of less than 15W. I haven't decided on the antenna yet, so I was hoping to get some advice from experienced users.
I plan to install the antenna on the roof of my own house, in a rural area on the outskirts of Beijing. The surrounding area is mostly flat with no tall buildings (except for the 110kV power line and tower). I've drawn a very simple diagram as shown in the illustration (the height of the 110kV power line will be lower than the entire tower, but currently, we can only obtain the tower height). Will this 110kV power line and tower affect the antenna installed on the roof? Which type of antenna should I choose? Is the "正v750" suitable? Or should I consider a different type, such as a directional or omnidirectional antenna? Please advise. Thank you very much.
