After successfully registering your account, you are not yet able to edit your information. At this point, you need to proceed to the second step: activate your call sign. According to the requirements of the qrz administrator, only amateur radio operators with a license can be listed in the database.
You need to prepare:
- Your call sign
- Your first and last name (in Pinyin)
- Your city
- Your country and DXCC
- A PDF or JPG image of your amateur radio license (not a copy of your ID, nor a screenshot of a website)
Once you have collected all the required documents, please visit: https://www.qrz.com/dxregister And add your information. Before the QRZ staff reviews, your entry will be in a pending state and will not be displayed. Once approved, your detailed information will be shown.
This usually takes 24 hours to complete.
Your application may be rejected if any of the following situations occur:
We occasionally have to reject requests to add data to the database. There are several reasons for this, but the most common include:
- If you are unable to provide a legible copy of your license and operating permit, or if you have provided other forms of identification, or if you have not provided any identification at all.
- The document file is corrupted or in an unreadable format. Using PDF or JPG files is recommended.
- If you provide obviously false information or an invalid call sign, your application will be rejected.

If your application is rejected, you will receive a notification. You must then https://ssl.qrz.com/support Please submit a new fault report and request a re-evaluation. When doing so, please ensure that you have included all relevant documents.
