Something that might not be widely known is that in the postal service's new delivery system, clerks can automatically match addresses and names used in the system when entering their mobile phone numbers when receiving mail (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). Otherwise, because the current requirement for fully barcode-based mail requires manual input by clerks, the time it takes to enter information would be three to five times longer. I've discussed this with the clerk at my usual post office, and if they can simply enter their mobile phone number, the entry time will be reduced significantly.
Additionally, due to the large volume of letters and postcards I typically receive, I often make advance bulk orders online through the postal service's online business hall. This allows me to enter address information in advance, which simplifies the process for the staff when entering the system. While a phone number can be filled with 13000000000 if missing, whether importing addresses via a form or using intelligent recipient recognition, the platform will prompt "Unable to recognize or invalid postal route" if any of the three elements ([Province, City, District]) are missing (e.g., Shandong Province, Qingdao City, Xiqing District, xx Road), requiring manual verification of which district the road belongs to and then manually selecting the province, city, and district. However, after selecting, a message will appear: "Recipient's province and city have been modified, please re-enter the detailed address."
Therefore, I encourage everyone to include their province, city, and district information when filling out address details; it would be even better if they could also add their phone number.
