I. Basic Information:
Category:Single-person, single-band, low-power
Equipment:ICOM IC-7300
Antenna:3-unit 28MHz fast assembly lightweight Yagi antenna (BG7XWF version)
Support pole:4.8-meter lamp stand
Battery:50Ah phosphate iron lithium
Duration of competition: 17 hours
Previously, I used a 5.6 GHz antenna for competitions. This is the first time I've used an eight-element Yagi antenna. I purchased a 3-element, 28 MHz Yagi from BG7XWF two months ago, and I'm very pleased with the results!
II. Summary:
1、The Yagi antenna is definitely very satisfying to use, but manually adjusting its direction can be a bit cumbersome.
2. The 28M transmission was very good this year, with a large number of antennas. There was no place to stand or operate, and I had to sweep the area continuously.
3. It's really tiring. There are no comfortable chairs at the outdoor workstation, and I end up with a sore back and stiff neck after a day of work. Next year, I need to get a comfortable chair.
