I. Methods for applying to LoTW
1. Visit the LoTW website. http://www.arrl.org/tqsl-download (In the red box in the image) Download the latest TQSL software and install it on your computer. Please download the newest version, which currently supports Simplified Chinese.

2. Install it and use the default path.
Open the TQSL program. The first time you start it, you will be prompted to "update a log file." Confirm the update. You will also be asked if you want to apply for a new certificate; decline this option.
Below, when clicking on the menu bar: Call Certificate -> Apply for a new call sign certificate.

Step 1: Select "My current personal call sign" and click the "Next" button.

Then, in the new window, enter your own call sign. DXCC selection: CHINA, DXCC does not need to be filled in. Then select the date of the first QSO for this call sign (usually one year earlier than the earliest time in all your logs), note: Please do not select "the date of the last QSO for this call sign", click the "Next" button.

Please fill in your name, address, postcode, and country information in the window below, then click "Next".

Enter your email address and click "Done".
Please note: You may not receive replies to emails sent via QQ Mail. It is recommended to use a more common international email service or 163 instead.

The registration guide will prompt you to upload the Lotw registration application. Simply click "Yes". Note: If you choose "No", the registration guide will instruct you to save the TQ5 file in a local location, so that you can easily access it later when applying.

The application form for this certificate has now been completed. Open the email address you entered when applying to LoTW, and you will see an email fromlotw-admin@arrl.orgConfirmation email for registration request. (This indicates that the recipient has received it; no reply is necessary.)

The next important step is to prepare our application. We need to create electronic copies of the following documents and attach them to an email:
* Our ID card (or passport)
* Our radio license
Then, send this email to lotw-help@arrl.org The email content has already been confirmed by a friend, and it can be written in Chinese. The approver should also be able to understand the Chinese text (e.g., the subject line of the email: BD300X application for certificate).
Please note: To protect your personal privacy, ARRL allows you to partially obscure the details of the three documents you submit, including your address and ID number (only the last part is shown). This does not affect the outcome of your application.
After sending the email, please be patient and wait. You should typically receive a reply within the same day (excluding Saturdays and Sundays), which will contain your registration information and website login password, as well as a tq6 certificate attachment named after your callsign (please download the attachment to your computer). Once you have this, the Lotw application process is complete.

II. TQ6 Certificate Verification
1、Open the TQSL software, then click the "Callsign Certificate" tab. You should already see the callsigns we have applied for here. However, there is a disabled indicator, which means that the TQ6 certificate file has not yet been verified. Next, right-click on the callsign and select "Import Callsign Certificate from File" in the new menu, or click the first icon with a key (import a callsign certificate) in the window on the right, select the tq6 certificate you downloaded earlier, and complete the import certificate dialog box.

2. At this point, the "Callsign Certificate" option's "Callsign" field will no longer have the disabled indicator, and instead display a golden token, indicating successful verification. After importing the certificate, you also need to set a radio location.
。
III. Add TQSL radio station location and overall backup.
1. Create the platform location
Open the TQSL software, click on the "Station Location" tab, then click on the house icon in the right-hand window to create a new station location.

Please fill in your call sign and other personal information. Leave the IOTA field blank.
You can find the grid information at www.srac.cn/grid/ for the Menden-Heide location grid.

Select your province.

Give a name to the current station location, and click "Finish". This will complete all the settings in the software.
2、Complete backup of QSLs
The TQ6 certificate file used for verification can only be used once; after successful import, it becomes invalid. To facilitate future use of LoTW after changing computers or reinstalling the operating system, we need to back up the callsign certificate obtained after successful verification. Click "File" and select "Save Site Location Certificate and Parameters" as tqslconfig.tbk. You can save this file and keep it for future reference. If you ever need to change your computer or reinstall your operating system, you can restore LoTW by importing this backup file, allowing you to continue using it. (This backup is essential; otherwise, you will have to re-apply for the certificate every time you install the software!)

。
IV. Uploading TQSL logs

Click the red box icon to find your log file, and then a TQSL signature confirmation dialog will appear. Click "Yes" to display a QSO date range dialog, where you can specify a date range for this log file, and then click "OK".
Please note Because the Lotw server automatically compares uploaded log files, to reduce the load on the Lotw server, it is best to upload the latest Comnet logs. Therefore, a date range needs to be specified for the log files.
The TQSL program automatically signs and uploads the ADIF log file. When you see "File queued for processing" in the status log, it indicates that the upload has been successful and the file has been added to the log comparison queue.

This concludes the explanation of the entire LoTW application, setup, and usage process.
