BD8BDT Hey, so basically, while this identifier isn't recognized by CRAC, it can be used for listening to competitions, such as in the IOTA rules where it states that only identifiers, not call signs, can be used for receiving transmissions. This would also be helpful for "Sausage" (A-license ham), and "B-license ham" who don't have a shortwave radio station.
As for its use with existing shortwave radio stations holding B or C licenses, it's essentially useless. It's just a fun novelty.
