- The antenna must be extended outside the window.
- A ground wire is not a ground net; it does not require grounding and can be simply placed on the floor.
- The ground network doesn't necessarily need to be a specialized shielding net; you can first try using a few ordinary wires.
- The ground plane doesn't necessarily need to be long; sometimes, shortening it can actually reduce the standing wave ratio.
- The placement of both the feed line and the ground plane will affect the standing wave ratio (SWR). Once it's properly adjusted, try not to touch the antenna, feed line, or ground plane.
- If you can't get it to work no matter what, try switching rooms.
