前两天玩ft8发现一个人都叫不到，想着是不是天馈出问题了，查看了一下并无异常，到电台旁低头一看显示满功率，但是有一股奇怪的味道传出，一开始还在想是不是手上涂药的味道，后面才意识到是不是电台烧了，奈何没有功率计无法测试，于是昨天请一位本地友台帮忙守听了一下，即使功率开到最大（电台上也显示满功率），声音还是和蚊子叫一样（平常打ft8都能给到+7），请问一下各位大佬这种情况是功放管烧掉了吗？

没有功率表可以测量发射电流判断是否有问题

有假负载也行，发射一下摸一摸温度，5W假负载都可以

有一个90S ,不知道G90N散热怎么弄的说说90S使用体会。协谷G90S语音和CW都没有问题，但数传功率超过5W，时间长了就容易烧功放。现在是1w发射接功放。两个强力风扇吹。一年多没有出问题。

However, I noticed a strange smell coming from the radio. Initially, I thought it was the smell of medication on my hands, but then I realized that the radio must have been overheating. Unfortunately, without a power meter, I couldn't test it. So, yesterday, I asked a local ham to help me monitor the frequency. Even when the power was set to maximum (as indicated by the radio), the signal was still very weak (usually, I can achieve +7 with FT8). Could this be caused by a blown amplifier tube?

Without a power meter, it's impossible to measure the transmit current and determine if there's a problem.

I have a 90S, and I'm not sure how to handle the cooling for the G90N.
Here's what I experienced using the XieGu G90S in the 1990s: The voice and CW functions worked perfectly on the XieGu G90S. However, transmitting data with power exceeding 5W for extended periods could easily damage the amplifier.
Currently, I'm using a 1W amplifier. Two powerful fans are running. It hasn't had any issues for over a year.

Bi4KKF No need for the tongue; just use your hands. The antenna is working well, g106c, and FT8 is running automatically. I was thinking about adjusting the center frequency to be higher, so I connected a 10cm wire in front. As I was tightening the connection, the other end started transmitting. Wow, it's biting!

The firmware that comes with the device is compliant G90N firmware, which displays 20W, but it can only transmit up to 15W. Only by flashing the G90S firmware can the display be truly accurate.

BG4ILW The original factory firmware for the 90N limits the transmission power to 10W, while the head unit can be adjusted to 20W because the head unit has the same firmware as the 90S. However, if the main unit is not flashed with the 90S firmware, the maximum output will still only be 10W.

BI4PMQ 100 watts, RF burns, ... There was an incident where a 5-watt BaoFeng unit caused burns. The antenna was damaged, and when the finger touched the contact point on the antenna, it triggered the RF output, also causing a bite.

I used a power meter to measure it, and the maximum power is 90N, which is about 15W. 20W is definitely not enough. In actual use, there's no difference; as long as the system can output 10W, I'm satisfied.
