At the invitation of VK2SKY and other enthusiasts, I visited the Manly-Warringah Amateur Radio Club yesterday and participated in their weekly Wednesday evening gathering.
Due to the severe weather conditions, the city's power supply was disrupted… Therefore, the gathering had to be held by candlelight and around the fireplace. The planned attempt to establish communication with mainland China also had to be abandoned (although it would have been easy if there were electricity).
During the gathering, I had warm and friendly conversations with several older ham radio operators, and we engaged in a detailed discussion about the policy in some parts of China that prohibits the use of the U band.
