Both the battery and DCDC module have been completed.
If using a battery, you can choose the 20Ah phosphate iron lithium from Guoxian, which is perfectly suited in a 4-series configuration. The total cost would be around $100. A 20Ah capacity is sufficient for use.
Currently, we have two types of DC-DC modules: one with a 9-32V input and another with an 18-70V input. The latter is primarily powered by electric vehicle batteries. Both are commercially available modules, but their main drawback is that they are relatively expensive and generate a lot of heat. However, they offer good reliability and can only be used in QRP (low power) radio applications.
Currently, we are considering producing battery packs with four strings of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium iron phosphate is prone to swelling, so we have decided not to use it. Using 21700 or 18650 cells for the three-cell configuration is the most convenient option.
