I just wanted to say: That barrel, either simplify it by directly wrapping the cable around it, or use neatly arranged enamel-coated wire. Currently, the wires are bent and twisted, and there's no good way to connect them together, so the parameters you get when testing the barrel alone won't be very accurate. If you make it better, connect a 50-ohm dummy load across the barrel, and the standing wave factor shouldn't exceed 1.2 over the entire range.
