Everyone always says that in the UV band, antenna height is the most important factor, but I haven't heard anyone say that shorter wavelengths benefit from taller antennas.
I tried it myself, and didn't notice a significant difference between receiving shortwave on the ground floor and on the 7th floor (using a loop antenna). In fact, I felt that the reception was even better on the ground floor. What could be the reason for this?
If shortwave signals need to be transmitted, does that mean a higher altitude is always better?
