With the FT-710 shortwave radio I have, when using the N1MM software to control automatic transmission, I found that the voice signal from the N1MM software cannot be transmitted to the radio itself when using the default settings (voice recognition). If I change the setting to USB mode, I can send the N1MM voice to the radio, but at this time, the microphone also stops working!
N1MM is a commonly used control software for amateur radio, and it's often used in competitions. For example, its automatic voice transmission feature is very convenient, and it can also record logs simultaneously. It's a shame if your station doesn't support it!
However, the FT8 mode over data transmission is working correctly!
I used a USB cable to connect the computer radio.
I hope that Yaesu's engineers will update the firmware for the FT-710 to support voice communication with N1MM, which can be sent to the radio via the FT-710's virtual sound card!
