The callsign I received on July 1st, the design finalized on July 9th, and the printed QSL card received on July 12th. It's amazing that designing my first QSL had such special significance, especially since I learned Photoshop from scratch to do it, all for this simple vinegar pouch of dumplings.🥲
When designing, the PSD file was 14cm x 9cm at 1200 dpi in 32-bit color. The final saved file was a CMYK JPG file, and the resolution was further reduced when printing.🥹
The front design was primarily intended to commemorate my research field, although I couldn't continue working in that field due to personal reasons. However, I still harbor a desire for space exploration. The back features the standard form-filling design, but since I lacked experience, I drew the lines on the forms myself, which also took some time to align properly.🧐
The overall design uses blue and red, which are the original colors specified by CRAC. The "barcode" you see is actually Morse code, primarily because the dots and dashes appear less dense when used, resulting in a more dispersed appearance on the card. Using a barcode method would allow for better concentration of color blocks and precise cutting of the card surface. I have also added some interesting and unusual characters (which someone might be able to identify as a specific language) and phrases that I personally like.😋
