I think it would be possible to use a dual-head audio cable, connecting one end to the computer and the other to the radio, and then I could speak into the microphone on my computer and hear myself through the radio. Ideally, I'd also like to add some reverb. I don't know if this setup would work with FT8 (it's just a thought).
