While using satellite isn't particularly professional, it can still meet your needs for long-distance communication or connecting with foreign countries. There are two main options available.
The first requirement is a 5-channel frequency, and it needs to support cross-segment forwarding, as many satellites use the U/V bands.
The second one can be used to scan the OpendG77, and it also supports DMR. The firmware allows you to directly calculate and use the multiple Doppler frequencies with just a press of the PTT button, without having to manually enter the frequencies.
I can build my own UV dual-band Yagi antenna, or I can buy a pre-made RSJ Yagi antenna (which is what I use), and a 4V segment would also work.(BG5BTK)
I guess I'll just stick with the A license for now. If I want to advance, I could get a gimbal that automatically tracks, but that seems like too much trouble.
If you're learning, do it while experimenting with antennas – pay attention to polarization direction, radiation pattern, UV propagation characteristics, and antenna structure.
