价格一直居高不下，和891差不多，不如直接买891

FT-450D还不错，我一直在用，通联效果挺好的。不过我不是搞技术的，作为刚入门的ham单从使用角度来说，不错，如果有频谱图和瀑布图就更完美了。

开始玩短波的时候用了FT450D半年，后来原价卖出去。觉得还是买7300或者八重洲的710，或者干脆买DX10吧。频谱还是很有需要的

入门就7300吧，既有天调（还可以改，突破3）又有频谱，操作简单。想ft8也方便，就需要一根usb线。别走弯路。其他机器不予评论。

The FT-450D is pretty good; I've been using it, and the communication performance is quite satisfactory. However, I'm not a technical person, and as a beginner in amateur radio, from a usability perspective, it's good. If it also had a spectrum analyzer and waterfall display, that would be even better.

I used the FT450D for about half a year when I started using shortwave, and then sold it. I thought that buying either the Yaesu 7300 or the Yaesu 710, or even the DX10, would be better. A spectrum analyzer is still very useful.

If you're just starting out, I recommend getting a Yaesu FT-7300. It has both APRS (which can be modified and used to achieve DX) and a spectrum analyzer, making it easy to use. If you also want to use FT8, you'll need a USB cable.
Don't waste time on unproductive efforts.
The other machines are beyond comment.

Syryia You might not have used the 450D or 450AT before, but once you get the 450D's advanced settings into engineering mode and configure them, it's an amazing experience!

Starting around 10 years ago, I gradually came into contact with approximately 450AT and 450D units, totaling about 10. The last one I used was around 2017, a 450D. After setting it to the engineering mode and adjusting the antenna, the antenna adjustment range was very good, and it could even be used with several-meter-long cables on certain frequencies.

The 450D is better than the 450AT, but for casual users, besides its excellent tuning capabilities, the noise reduction performance is really not good. After all, it's an older entry-level radio that Yaesu released as the 891, which is essentially a replacement for the 450D. So, if you're choosing around $4000, then it would definitely be the new 891. Other brands' used radios are a different matter!

By the way, the 450D's "sky control" feature is amazing! The "sky control" feature isn't a flaw of the 450D; it's actually a strength.

External antenna tuning and SDR switchers can independently address the issues with the 891 antenna and spectrum. The current price of the new 891 on Taobao is 4580, which is not much different from the 450D, so it's worth buying, especially since the reception quality of the 891 is quite good, comparable to that of high-end receivers.
