BH2VZC For example, a response received from the mailbox of an official at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is clearly more credible than a post on "Sausage God Chat."

The content of an email reply from a Minister of Industry and Information Technology, without a formal written document, is not effective (for example, the requirement for a specific document, such as 15W, before approval).

BH2VZC In the 2024 new regulations, the LK0024 question bank: A key characteristic of amateur radio transmitters specifically designed for amateur radio stations is that the transmission frequency must not exceed the amateur band. In practice, a successful setup can be achieved if the transmitted frequency includes frequencies within the amateur band.

A key characteristic of amateur radio transmitters is that their operating frequency must be within the designated amateur radio bands.
You can set up a radio transmitter to operate within the amateur radio frequency band, including those used by amateur radio stations. √

I agree! It would be great to have all the scattered information consolidated in one place!

BI4OAE

SuoYuC This is called a window guidance system, which the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology can refer to. The following steps can be implemented or not, as desired.

venzo According to the new regulations, Article 7, Paragraph 3, no longer presents a contradiction; it only applies to those that have been approved. Those that have not been approved are not allowed to exceed the specified limits.

The radio transmitting equipment used must have obtained type approval in accordance with the law (the type approval certificate specifies the frequency range, which includes amateur business bands); or, if the self-made, modified, assembled, etc., radio transmitting equipment that has not been approved for type is used, it complies with national standards and national regulations on radio management, and the radio transmitting frequency range is limited to amateur business bands only.

venzo

BG6QED No one mentioned the conflict. The term "amateur radio equipment" refers to devices that are authorized for use on amateur radio frequencies, as indicated on the license. The original statement emphasizes dedicated equipment, not just equipment used for amateur radio business.

[Subject]: Shortwave radios that have expired certifications can be tested normally by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Non-certified, self-assembled radios are not permitted to use homemade assembly licenses.
[Detailed Description]: Model approval is a mechanism to regulate manufacturers or importers, not a mechanism to restrict hobbyists from using radios or to force the regular decommissioning of equipment. If the production date or import date falls within the validity period of the model approval, the radio should be able to be registered normally. The current practice of some provinces and cities prohibiting the issuance of licenses for expired models is actually non-compliant.

The wireless communication devices entering the country must have undergone type approval, and a certificate of type approval must be presented upon entry.

Detailed Description: Any wireless communication equipment entering China must obtain type approval. If the equipment does not have type approval, it must be registered with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). When importing goods, you must present the type approval certificate to customs.CertificateThe approval certificate not only confirms the model, but also includes the CMIIT ID (see Figure 1). The Yaesu device's approval certificate can be successfully used to input the device's serial number on the Yaesu e-station service app.
Customs advises that if you want to bring a domestically approved device abroad and then return it, you should declare it when leaving the country. You will receive a document from customs, which you should present along with your approval certificate upon arrival.

Evaluation: Strictly speaking, according to regulations, bringing a mobile phone through customs and immigration should result in obtaining the necessary approval certificate… However, in practice, it's essentially never checked. Also, luggage is not 100% checked upon arrival.
"Obtaining temporary permits" refers to bringing unapproved equipment, such as that manufactured by ICOM Kenwood, into the country and applying for approval. This is separate from personal enthusiasts seeking approval. When contacting customs via telephone to verify related issues, you may be misled by the operator.

Figure 1 shows the QuanSheng UVK6 certification, which includes information such as CMIITID-2023FP9522 for UVK6.
