Consider approving Yaesu 3DR, but not Kenwood D72, D74, or D75. Yaesu's APRS is better and more feature-rich than domestic brands. Kenwood is the best for APRS. If you just want to play around, get an N76.
Currently, the domestic APRS radios still have the N76, which is quite good. The others are not as good, and the Baofeng APRS is the worst. Because Lianchang's APRS was developed with input from Ma Gong, you can buy a used one to experience it. The UV98 is already 6 years old, and the firmware has not been updated. I am not trying to belittle domestic products, but in amateur radio, we still have a long way to go. Currently, there is no domestic APRS radio that is well-made and refined. For APRS, I hope my observations can be helpful to you.
