1. I feel that the performance isn't great; at least, the receiving sensitivity is much lower than that of the Yaesu FT-70DR in my experience. However, the price is also very competitive. It's sufficient for occasional use, and at least it's affordable and doesn't worry about losing or damaging it.
2. This is an unofficial, grassroots activity;
3, I bought the PDD 100, and it's probably around that price now too...
