BG9PDC Background: I obtained an A-class license in Ningxia in 2021, and then returned to my hometown of Gansu in 2023 to work. I also obtained a B-class operating certificate on February 27, 2024. Here are some screenshots from my consultation regarding how to set up a B-class station at my hometown… The story ends with me being at work when I didn't see the message on my phone. My male colleague called me on his personal phone and told me that it was a requirement, and I had to go to Wuzhong to handle it. (Initially, they said that they were following the instructions from Lanzhou, telling me how to do things, but then they said that Lanzhou disagreed with my approach). The call also hinted at other implications...😶
BG9JFN I have completely given up on the idea of visiting Gansu Province. I obtained my A license in December 2023, along with the corresponding radio license. The communication range specified on the license is only for within the province, not for cross-provincial or international use. When I inquired about this, the response was that the A license is only valid within the province, while the B license allows for cross-provincial and international use. Next door, in Qinghai Province, A-type licenses can be directly used across provinces and for international travel. I really mean it.
yuan796 The attitude of the Lanzhou Radio Management Office is quite good, but only Class A licenses are required for use within the province.
