住在二楼，阳台正面10米就是对面楼层，平时收听几十公里外的中继信号很好。用5W功率完全上不去，10W能上去，但是信号报告只有4。每次都是爬到小区高层的楼顶去通联。想搞一个八木天线或者高增益的GP天线不知道能不能改善。

I live on the second floor, and the antenna is located 10 meters away from the front of the balcony, facing the opposite building. I can easily receive signals from repeaters several kilometers away.
It doesn't seem to be able to reach full power with 5W, but it can reach some level with 10W, although the signal report only shows a value of 4.
Each time, I would climb to the top floor of the building in the complex to establish a connection.
I'm wondering if I could improve my signal by using a Yagi antenna or a high-gain GP antenna, but I don't know if it will work.

CQ-BG8LTU Regarding location, it's likely that positioning will ultimately be the key factor. If a Yagi antenna can be directed towards the repeater, that should also be considered.

My suggestion is to extend the car's "car seat" out the window; it works very well. You can try it, and a flower basket holder with a basin attachment offers excellent value for money. I have personally tested it.
