Currently, the antenna I'm using is the "Old Eagle 775," and I need to be near a window to receive the repeater signal. When transmitting, I have to open the window, which can be difficult in winter. I asked several members of the group for recommendations, and they suggested buying a suction cup antenna to mount on the outside of my air conditioner unit.
However, I can't reach the outdoor unit of the air conditioner on this side. There is only a window sill about 10 cm outside the window that I can fix something to. What are some ways for me, as a HAM radio operator, to improve my communication conditions in this situation? Should I buy a suction cup antenna and attach it directly to the window sill, or should I buy a glass steel antenna stand and place it inside? Are there any other better solutions?
Thank you for your guidance.
